Katarzyna Kania, Piotr Stanek, "Scores for Yearning. The Concert"

We all have similar chaos in our heads: a series of animosities, comic memories, some daring longings, and obsessively recurring sounds and rhythms.

Concert for two dancers and fifty instruments. Sensual and acoustic journey towards revealing different kinds of intimate desires of both performers and the audience. Performers use their bodies to open up space where the visual loses its dominance and the body is exposed – constantly trying to slip away from representation.

Katarzyna Kania − dancer, choreographer. A graduate of the Ludwik Solski State Theatre School in Cracow, Dance Theatre Department in Bytom; she is currently a student of the MA programme – Choreography and Performance in Giessen (Institute for Applied Theatre Studies). She is a co-creator of the following performances and projects: Food, Zrabowali mi składaka (They Stole My Folding Bike), Plan ewakuacji/Emergency Plan, Rough Proposals Festival. In 2017, a holder of a scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage "Młoda Polska" (Young Poland) and the German scholarship DAAD. Co-founder of the Polish-German artistic collective little:interference; since 2019 she co-operates with the artistic collective Rotterdam Presenta.

Piotr Stanek − dancer, choreographer. A graduate of the Ludwik Solski State Theatre School in Cracow, Dance Theatre Department in Bytom. Since 2013 he co-operates with Dada von Bzdülöw Theatre.
