Bartosz Ostrowski, "Babel. The Resonance of Language"
Comment réalise-tu que tu connais une langue?
How do you know that you know a language?
How do you recognise it in you?
Does it get born in your body as a new organ?
The performance is a choreographic experimentation with the physical features of speech. In reference to the George Lakoff’s prinicples of embodied cognition, the artist is exploring the somatic potencial of language knowledge. He is trying out the ways through which the body is capable of translating/traduire.
